About the Occam Laser Blog

This blog is all about continuing a conversation that I started but never really had the chance to flesh out.  If you had a conversation with me and found me to be passionate about a point, then that topic will likely appear here soon. 

The name of the blog, Occam Laser, is a reference to Occam’s Razor with added references to technology and a dash of nerd culture.  It’s my own take on Occam’s original principle that:

“Assumptions should not be multiplied beyond necessity” but this time with a laser.

I hope to elaborate on this in future posts.

Over the years, I have found my opinion change on many topics, and I would like to see it continue to change.  Opposing views are therefore not only welcome but encouraged.  I hope that, through correspondence, this blog will fulfill its purpose of continuing the conversations that I started but never got a chance to finish.
